The Oklahoma Pecan Nut Casebearer Model is a scouting tool for
pecan nut casebearer that has been tested and verified in Oklahoma
field tests during 1996-1997 seasons. The Model itself was developed
by entomologists at Texas A&M University in 1983, but it has been
adapted to Oklahoma conditions. For a greater understanding of the
Model, please consult the Model Description
section. The Model is updated shortly after midnight CDT so that
the latest results should be available upon waking.
To utilize the Model, go to the Site-Specific
Interactive Model section and follow the instructions. For insecticide
treatment guidelines, consult the OSU extension publication on pecan
nut casebearer.
DISCLAIMER
As with any pest management model, the Oklahoma Pecan Nut Casebearer
Model is to be regarded as only a tool in making insecticide application
decisions. It is not intended to replace the best judgment of the
grower in making such decisions.
